Progress Report: Six Months Learning Spanish

In this video I reflect how quickly time has passed.  Since my previous report, I’ve left South America, returned briefly to the UK for a friend’s stag do, and flown to Spain to begin my final leg of my adventure: cycling from Valencia to Seville (or possibly Gibraltar).  This video was recorded a little while back, in the stunning City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, while I was waiting for my bike to be available to pick up.

I post this update from the beach town of Torrevieja, 250km south of Valencia.  As ever, the video wasn’t rehearsed at all (the pauses halfway through authenticate this).  Yet, in spite of my occasional hesitation, I feel my Spanish is continuing to improve.  I’m now relatively comfortable making small talk while buying the fruit and bread that consists of the majority of my meals at present.  I’ve also enjoyed sharing my travel experiences with my AirBnB hosts.

I expect next month’s progress report to be my last as I will be returning to England.  Hopefully, I can continue the upward trajectory until then.
